PodsCamp DFW 2014

podscamp1-croppedWe recently announced that we will be holding our first PodsCamp in Ft. Worth, Texas on October 3, 2014. PodsCamp is like a WordCamp, but focused on Pods. It will be an opportunity to spend a day focused on using the Pods Framework to create great websites and web apps and connect with the Pods team. Talks will be geared at users of all levels and there will be plenty of time to connect and network with the Pods team and other Pods developers.

Date & Venue

The event will be held Friday, October 3rd at the Hampton Inn and Suites – Forest Hill. PodsCamp will run from 9:30am to 5pm, and include lunch. There will be an optional breakfast before the event kicks off and the Pods Team will be available for questions and one-on-one time throughout to ensure no one leaves PodsCamp without every question about Pods answered.

Tickets will go on sale soon, so make sure to watch the website, PodsCamp.org, and twitter for the announcement about tickets.

Who Are The Speakers

We are still confirming the speakers, and finalizing the schedule, but we can tell you that the speakers will include:

  • Scott Kingsley Clark – Lead Developer, Pods Framework & Senior Web Engineer, 10up.
  • Phil Lewis – Contributing Developer for the Pods Framework.
  • Josh Pollock – Community Manager and Contributing Developer, Pods Framework.
  • Benjamin Bradley – Professor at WebDesign.com, iThemes Training.

In addition, other members of the Pods Team, including our support representative Jim True, and unit test developer Daryl Lozupone, will be in attendance.
