Announcing our First Gold Partner: OptinMonster

We’re very happy to announce our very first Gold Friend at Friends of Pods: OptinMonster. They’re also offering a great perk for our Friends of Pods users, 20% off any plan at their website. That’s quite a significant savings, especially at the Pro level. If you’ve not checked out OptinMonster, yet, it’s a very versatile popup email and lead generating plugin that can boost your email conversions by a significant amount. With A/B testing built in, integrations with ALL the major email list managers and some really smart user-sensitive technology baked in, it’s worth checking out.

We asked Syed Balkhi from OptinMonster why they decided to support Pods and help us keep a good thing going, here’s what he had to say:

The reason why we sponsored Pods is because of the history of the platform and your contributions to it. We like giving back to the community and we sponsor various projects including WordCamps and FontAwesome, among others.

One of my favorite technologies they offer is the Exit Intent OptIn. If you’ve ever seen those pop-ups that only show when you’re just about to close the window, that’s the Exit Intent style. It’s very effective for getting someone an offer just before they’re about to close the window. I also am fond of the ones that only show up when you’ve been sitting idle a while or that are less annoying by sliding in from the bottom right of your screen. You have complete control over the behavior and with the WordPress plugin, you can control placement within the sidebar and end of article as well, making it a very powerful tool for Calls to Action.

Integration with Pods & Custom Post Types

OptinMonster - Select Custom Post Types & Taxonomies
You can tailor deliver your OptIns using Custom Post Types & Taxonomies, built right into OptinMonster

OptinMonster recognizes the Custom Post Types and Custom Taxonomies you create with Pods on your site natively. You also have the ability to control the places your OptIns will show by Post Type and Taxonomy terms. In addition, with their new Canvas Designer, you can create custom designed forms to use on the Optin Popup. These can be populated by Gravity Forms or use a Pods Shortcode to build your own Optin Form, giving you the ability to create dynamic lead generation forms, surveys or product specific pop-ups. We’re planning on using it for feedback forms for our new documentation website and get on page feedback that we can use to make our docs that much better.
