Pods Frontier Auto Templates is a new Pods plugin for automatic output of Pods Templates. This new plugin, the first created with our new Pods Plugin starter plugin, allows you to easily set which Pods Template is used to display the content for post type and custom taxonomy Pods. Along with Pods 2.4, which added auto-complete for magic tags in the Pods Templates editor and the soon to be release Pods Frontier plugin which will make Pods Templates editing even better, it has never been easier to create and display custom post types and fields in WordPress.
Make Your Own Pods Plugins
Along with the release of Pods Frontier Auto Templates, we are also publishing a series of tutorials on how to create your own Pods Plugins. Creating your own Pods Plugin is a great way to either add custom functionality to your Pods-powered site or to contribute a new feature for all Pods users to take advantage of.
In order to make it easier for you to create your own Pods Plugins, we have created a Pods Plugin starter plugin: Pods Extend that you can copy or fork to begin your project. The four part tutorial series covers how to use it to create your own plugins and how it was used to create Pods Frontier Auto Templates.
