I have taken over a pod enabled site and am trying to catch up…
I have several different types of pods, lets say they are types "Breakfasts", "Lunches", "Dinners", "Snacks", "Desserts". By default, the site visitor can search within each of these on a separate tab, but I’d also like the capability where they can see all of the meals at once, sorted by the date added. How do I combine multiple types of pods??
Instead of $pods = new Pod($pod_type); I need $pods = new Pod($these_types_of_pods);
Any help appreciated! Thanks!
Assuming you’ve got similar categories for each, you’ll need to loop through all of your pods and load them into an array which you can sort with and display.
I’m new to Pods as well I’m assuming you are a lot better then I am at this whole pod thing. I have been trying for a week now to get my page to call my template pages from my wordpress theme to no avail. any pointers you can give would be soooooooo appreciated.
@newpodgirl If you don’t have a lot of difference in the data structure between the different pods, you might make your life easier by having a Foods pod that has a pick category for each "Breakfasts", "Lunches", "Dinners", "Snacks", "Desserts". You can then set up your template structure to pull only the records with the pick "Breakfasts" for the Breakfast page, but you’ll have an easier time of it when doing things such as searching, or trying to, say, pull all the records that contain "bacon" as an ingredient.
@jaden, you should start a new thread for your problem, and give it a little more in-depth description so we can help you!
