Does pods doesn’t compatible with bbpress ? It only display the shortcode text. why ?
Yes, Pods is compatible with bbPress. It depends on where you’re putting your shortcode and if it’s in a forum post, it’s probably not going to work, since those are excluded there.
What are you attempting to do? Please provide more details if you’d like us to assist you.
I try to display forum custom field via Pods shortcode, but it didn’t work. This is what I do.
1. I created a extended post type (forum).
2. I put shortcode in forum content.
3. It only display shordcode text.
Can you get other shortcodes to work in that particular area (the Forum Content) that are non-pods? Can you get that shortcode to work in just a regular Page?
There may be something in your bbPress settings that is preventing shortcode parsing.
Maybe this seems like a dumb question, but why are you extending the Forums with additional fields just to turn around and put that data in the ‘content/description’ for the Forum? It would seem to me to make more sense to either add it to the Forum template or just type the data directly in the Forum Description. It doesn’t simplify your process unless you’re using that content elsewhere.
Thank you for your help. Not only pods shortcode but also other plugin shortcode doesn’t work on bbpress. I found the answer http://premium.wpmudev.org/forums/topic/shortcode-doesnt-work-in-bbpress-topic
Yep, I had a feeling it was a bbPress issue. Sorry we couldn’t help you more, but you’ve gotta love Google.
