Should we bundle Pods UI within Pods 1.9.9? Considering it’s installed with almost every Pods installation, it makes sense to bundle them together for easier install and less confusion by new users. Right now, Pods UI checks to see if Pods 2.0 is installed before running, if it is then it outputs a notice saying something similar to “Pods UI is not included in Pods 2.0, you can deactivate and delete the Pods UI plugin now.”
We can just update that information to talk about Pods 1.9.9, and we can update the Pods plugin to directly use the new UI instead of the old UI for the management of content. What that would mean is that the ‘manage content’ screen would be simplified to let you choose which Pod to select BEFORE managing the content instead of showing all items across all Pods by default. Make sense? or should we wait?
