Today we are releasing Pods 2.5.3 maintenance release, including multiple bug fixes; Since it fixes some common bugs we’ve had reported over and over, we recommend all sites be updated to this release before submitting new issues to our forums or GitHub. Some of the bugs corrected in this release dealt with `orderby` and Advanced Content Types and an unusual behavior with pagination in Shortcodes.
A quick update on Pods 3.0
We finished the “big merge” for all bug fixes, enhancements, and features that went into Pods 2.4 so they are now reflected in the code of Pods 3.0. This was a big process as we have moved some internals around in Pods 3.0 which meant we needed to do this file by file to ensure nothing got left behind and new bugs were reintroduced that had already been fixed in Pods 2.x.
Next steps are to get our unit tests running for Pods 3.0 so that all of our previous Pods 2.x tests will pass on it. Once that’s accomplished, we’ll move forward with the rest of the CMB2 implementation and get loop fields out for beta!
